  • Work performance information and feedback.
  • Information about incidents in the workplace.

  • Information submitted and obtained in relation to absences from work due to leave, illness and other causes.
  • Information obtained preliminary to employment and during the term of employment including medical information and immunisation details.
  • Results from technical or aptitude tests.

We may need to pass on your personal information to enable us to comply with various legal requirements.   • The Commonwealth Government or its agencies; this would be done in accordance with the provisions of the Agency's information handling policies or other relevant law.

  • A Workers Compensation body
  • A professional association or registration body that has a proper interest in the disclosure of your personal information.
  • Supplies of services to us, including payroll services.
  • Law enforcement agencies (where required by legislation) to verify whether you have a criminal record.

  • Prospective employers and their recruitment departments or officials.

Security of Information

We will take reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information which we hold and to ensure that the information we collect, use and disclose, is accurate, complete and up-to-date. To this end we recommend that you:

  • Inform us if there are any errors in you personal information, such as your name and address.
  • Keep us informed with any changes to your personal information and employment details.

Information will not be sold, rented or licensed to anyone else. When the information we collect is no longer of use to us, we will destroy it in the appropriate manner to protect your privacy.

Requests To Access Personal Information

If you are concerned that our organization may have handled your personal information inappropriately, please contact our Privacy Officer on 1300 789 579. All privacy complaints are taken seriously and we will endeavour to deal with them promptly. In some cases, we may require that you put your complaint in writing.

If you would like to request access to any personal information held by our organization, please contact our Privacy Officer on the above number. It is the policy of our organization that all requests are made in writing. Our privacy officer will arrange for an access form to be sent to you and can assist with any enquiries you may have about the process. We will respond to all requests for access with 45 days and, in most cases, will be able to respond well before that time.
